About us

We look to provide the very best foundation for the growth and development of your children. The progress of every child is immensely important to us all, and we hope that our work as teachers and leaders will enable them to develop to their fullest potential. At Galmpton we look to create and establish the sort of environment in which pupils of all ages will feel challenged but enjoy their time in school. In the same way, we seek to forge excellent relationships with all parents so that partnership is seen as the way forward at all times.

We look forward to our period of successful partnership with you.

We are thrilled to announce that on 1st November 2017 we became a member of the Academy for Character and Excellence along with our Sister school at Collaton St. Mary.

The Academy for Character and Excellence, known as ACE, is a multi-academy trust set up in June 2016. It has two founder schools, Shaldon Primary School and Redhills Primary School in Exeter, and promotes character education – a values-led approach to education.

The Academy is currently undergoing a review of the mission, vision and values with ourselves and Collaton St. Mary to ensure that the Trust reflects and aligns the beliefs of The Church of England Vision Statement for Education and our Trust’s focus on character education. This is an important next step as the mission, vision and underpinning values are the heartbeat of our Trust; they are an integral part of who we are and will reflect on our actions at every level.

We are very excited about the future and working with all schools within our Trust enabling us to build the Academy for Character and Excellence to its full potential.
